Sunset Christian Academy admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic, origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions, policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school administered programs.

Sunset Christian Academy exists to provide a biblically based educational environment that equips students spiritually, academically, emotionally, and physically to live out their God-given potential in all areas of life for the Glory of God.

Sunset Christian Academy was founded in 1968, as a ministry of Sunset Chapel, Incorporated. The school facilitated our efforts as a way to reach our neighboring community for Christ in accordance with the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20). As enrollment increased and the students progressed in age, our elementary program was piloted.

In 1984 the building which now serves as our elementary school was constructed. In 1999 we renovated our initial building and added seventh and eight grade to our school, now completing the middle school.

Within the last five years our school was accredited with Association of Christian Teachers and Schools (ACTS)/Florida League of Christian Schools (FLOCS) and membered with Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). Through our membership with ACTS, FLOCS and ACSI, our students compete in spelling, speech, science and fine arts and are strong competitors obtaining superior and excellence in all areas.
