I have a lovely wife and three wonderful daughters. I have been teaching for over 18 years (12 of those years at SCA). I spent my first six years of teaching in the Chicago Public School system. I received my Bachelor's degree from Chicago State University and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from FIU. I have a passion for Christian education. Schools like ours provide children with more than just a safe learning environment. We are a family.

Pilar Altare-Martin
Pilar Altare-Martin has been in business management since 1991, through the years she gained experience in managing personnel, negotiating vendor contracts, supervising engineering staff as well as providing oversight to support staff, planning budgets, creating financial reports, and overseeing client relations. Mrs. Altare-Martin began her involvement in the educational field in early 2004. As a result of her volunteer work and a passion for both of her children, her career goals have changed.

I joined the staff at SCA three years ago. My son, Michael, attended SCA from PreK4 through 8th grade. I have a loving husband, a lovely daughter-in-law and a beautiful grandson, Michael Renato. I have over 20 years experience in accounting and administrative work. It is a blessing to work in a Christ-centered environment and with such a wonderful group of teachers and staff. I have enjoyed my time here getting to know both the students and their parents. May the Lord bless each of you and I look forward to continued service, In His Name.

I have been married for 22 years to my husband Rudy. We are the proud parents of two wonderful sons and a lovely daughter. SCA has been my home since 2001. Our oldest son Rudy attended SCA from preschool through 8th grade. SCA has provided all my children with a high level of education along with loving teachers and staff. We attend our school’s church, Sunset Chapel. I thank God for placing me here because I know His plan for our lives. It will be my pleasure to be of service to you and your family. God Bless!
